Esther, the Jewish Queen of Persia, born for 'such a time as this'.
The Jewish Feast of Purim concluded recently on March 3rd. If you’ve never taken the time to read the Book of Esther in the Old Testament (Tanakh), I strongly encourage you to do so—especially in light of current world events. It’s a short read, and once you begin, it’s hard to stop, and it only takes a few minutes.
Below is a depiction of Esther, the Jewish Queen of Persia (today known as Iran). Her story is a powerful and fascinating account of a young woman who was born “for such a time as this.” Her purpose—her destiny—was to bravely stand in the gap and save her people from genocide.
What’s striking is how this same hatred toward the Jewish people has surfaced again and again throughout history. Yet it has never succeeded—and it never will. Not because of human merit or superiority, but because God’s promises are irrevocable, which is the primary reason the Jews are 'God's Chosen People'.
It’s deeply concerning to see influential voices today like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, etc. promote narratives that contradict these truths. When someone with a massive platform spreads ideas that distort or deny this reality, it doesn’t just misinform—it misleads countless people who may never take the time to examine the source for themselves. The ill-informed opinions of the biblically illiterate amount to accusing God of being a liar. It usually doesn't end well for such people.
We live in an age where popularity is often mistaken for truth. Views, likes, and followers have become substitutes for discernment. But truth isn’t determined by consensus—it requires seeking, questioning, and thinking critically.
We’ve all been given the ability to reason. It’s worth using it.
I am not a Jew. However, I have zero doubt that the Jews have been and still are God's' 'Chosen People', regardless of WHO says otherwise. God is NOT done with the Jewish people, may God continue to bless them.
